So I leave for Australia in a little under two months. God has been good with providing over half of the financial support that I need, and I am grateful. Relying on God for raising funds is definitely new to me. Even though part of me is scared and even skeptical of making the last of the money, I know that God will pull through as long as I am faithful.
It is amazing to see God move and I am stoked for all the people who have joined my ministry team. Without my team and without God, my trip to Australia would not be possible.
This past weekend, I had the privilege of going to the mountains, spending time with some friends, and growing closer to my Creator. On the ride to the cabin, I had no idea what to expect. I knew I would have a “God Experience,” but I had no clue as to how God would show up or how intense the experience would be. When we arrived at the place we were staying, we were given a quiet time before we started worship. During my quiet time, all I could think of was Deuteronomy 7:9. This was especially weird for me because I have never opened my bible to Deuteronomy and but I didn’t think much of it. It wasn’t until later that I finally opened up to the passage and read it.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. — Deuteronomy 7:9
One of the themes of the weekend’s retreat was about God’s love for us, so receiving a verse about God’s promise of love from a book that I’ve never read could only be explained as a “God Experience.” This was only one of the several experiences I had this weekend, but this one stood out the most.
In regards to my Australia trip, I am close to sending out the first batch of support letters. I am praying that God will provide the spiritual and financial support that I need.
This is how I feel right now. Tumblr is confusing, but at least I have until July 10th to figure this out.
The purpose of this blog is mainly to keep you guys informed and up-to-date as I travel to Melbourne, Australia, with Campus Crusade!
